A perspective which has been shaped and enriched by our collective experiences of living and working in a variety of places with different cultures and points of view.
East meets West
Our founders have come a long way. One part is from Taiwan. After studying at Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London and working for renowned design practices in the UK, she returned to her home country with the goal to open her own studio.
The other originates in Germany and has studied in Germany and Spain before working for established design practises in Munich, Paris and London. And here, in the UK is where their paths finally crossed – the B found the Y and BY Associates was founded.
Together and with our team of passionate professionals and independent consultants, we run BY Associates with a focus on international and intercultural Design. German rigour meets Asian delicateness in the details, with a spritz of British and French flair for good measure.
With all our combined language skills, naming became a natural addition to our range of services. So if you do not know what to call yourself, we might also be able to help! This is often the case for ventures that cross the border from Latin letters to Chinese characters and vice versa.
