The name “KAPISIU” is derived from the Taiwanese word “岫 (siū),” which originally refers to a nest where birds and animals find shelter, symbolizing a place of belonging and inner peace for people. Combined with the Mandarin meaning of “岫,” which evokes images of mountain caves and peaks, KAPISIU represents a gathering place for coffee enthusiasts — a space for both deep exploration and restful pause.

The distinctive curve of the brand’s initial “K” draws inspiration from the boats docked at Anping Harbor. It reflects the intertwining branches of mangrove forests and echoes the silhouette of coffee brewing equipment. The colour palette is inspired by the earthy red of aged brick walls paired with the crystalline green shimmer of sea salt, resonating with the historical layers and maritime spirit of Anping.

The overall visual identity of the brand emphasizes a strong sense of place, balancing modern sensibilities with nostalgic charm. It is designed for diverse applications in brand merchandise and future development. KAPISIU aspires to become a refreshing presence within the traditional streets of Anping — a haven for emotional connection, a convergence of shared resonance, and a welcoming nest where kindred spirits naturally gather.
